Part 1: Role Purpose:
Street Child is seeking a person who eager to be involved in supporting the humanitarian response caused by brutal war in Ukraine caused by Russian military assault. This is an opportunity to become a member of well-established international organisation and its growing team in Ukraine. We are looking for candidates with a ‘can-do’ attitude and willingness to support wherever needed. Strong commitment and motivation are required. This is a demanding role and is suited to individuals who enjoy being busy and involved in a variety of tasks. The role will require a motivated and enthusiastic candidate to handle day-to-day tasks in operations unit. Under a supervision of Finance Manager together with Chief Accountant and Operation Officer, person will contribute to quality of implementing partners’ financial management system, adherence of Street Child HR practices to national laws, procurement activities and contract management processes. We expect applications from seasonal candidates with previous experience in Logistics, HR or Operations departments.

This role is opened to implement project funded by Ukrainian Humanitarian Fund (project number 34832).
Part 2: Key Responsibilities:
1) Sub Partners’ Financial Management (60%)
- Provide regular review and verification of financial reports and bookkeeping documents submitted by implementing partners, service providers or contractors,
- Contract management,
- Verification of procurement processes of implementing partners against Procurement policies, assuring transparency principle,
- Monitor and evaluate partners’ operational activities to keep track of progress in line with the work plan and budget, and ensure best practices are adhered in project implementation,
- Regular communication with financial specialists of implementing partners ensuring timely procurement and project implementation,
- Provide regular feedback to partner organisations ensuring strict adherence to transparency of financial system and donor regulations,
2) Human Resource Management (25%)
- Track records of Street Child employees’ personal files,
- Ensure hiring process, dismissal and transfer of staff is in line with Street Child HR Manual and Labour Law of Ukraine,
- Track records of employees’ annual leaves, sick leaves and time sheets,
- Maintain military records of the organisation,
- Support preparation of policies related to HR, regulations and memos for employees,
3) General Support of Operations Unit (15%)
- Support Finance Manager and Chief Accountant with daily tasks related to an area of responsibility of Operations unit
- Support in organising presentations, workshops or training sessions, and preparing hand-out materials
- Handle routine communication with service providers, contractors, external parties, and outsourced organisations related to Operations department
4) Other
- Carry out all reasonable requests that are within the broad remit of the role

Part 3: Person Specification
Experience and Knowledge
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in Human resource management, Finance or Operations Departments
• Experience working with Microsoft tools
• Knowledge of Ukrainian Labour Law
• At least basic knowledge of financial reporting and bookkeeping
• Work experience in humanitarian, development or similar sector is beneficial
• Demonstrable experience working closely with national/local NGOs in Ukraine is beneficial.
Skills and Abilities
• Ability to work independently on a range of tasks and to take initiative to take on further responsibilities as appropriate
• Ability to capture, memorise and analyse different sources of information and provide informed judgment
• Experience working with financial documents and handle procurement paperwork
• Ability to communicate with a different audience in a clear sense and manner
• Demonstrated experience to work under pressure and tight deadlines
• Excellent organisational abilities
• Experience on presenting information to a group of people, delivering presentations, workshops or trainings is beneficial.
