The Head of Tax is responsible for managing all tax-related matters across 10+ designated regions for the organization. This includes developing and implementing multi-regional tax strategies, ensuring compliance with diverse tax laws, and advising senior management on tax implications of business decisions with an emphasis on global operations.
Responsibilities:
- Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns and reports across all designated regions. Stay updated on changes in international and local tax laws and regulations.
- Outsource Accountant Communication: Manage communication and coordination with outsourced accounting providers.
- Local Tax Issues Solving: Address and resolve local tax issues and inquiries in various jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to local regulations and minimizing potential tax risks
- Study of New Markets Tax Implications: Analyze and assess tax implications for entering new markets, providing recommendations to senior management on tax-efficient market entry strategies.
- Transfer Pricing Reporting: Manage the preparation and submission of transfer pricing documentation, including master files, local files, and benchmarking studies, in accordance with transfer pricing legislation.
- Controlled Foreign Companies (CFC) Compliance (Ukraine): Ensure compliance with Ukrainian CFC legislation, including notification, reporting, and tax obligations for controlled international companies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience in multi-regional tax, preferably in a multinational corporate environment.
- Knowledge of international tax laws and regulations, in addition to local regulations.
- Knowledge of royalty tax legislation across multiple jurisdictions.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a globally distributed team.
