Senior Legal Advisor position offers a dynamic work environment, requiring in-depth expertise across a wide range of legal domains, including Contract Law, Business Law, Labour Law, Tax Law, Intellectual Property, Civil Law, and more, with a focus on the EU, US, and Ukraine jurisdictions. Occasional involvement with other international jurisdictions may also be required.
Key responsibilities:
- Drafting and reviewing a wide range of agreements (99% in English, 1% in Ukrainian), including Services, Software Development, Licensing Agreements etc.
- Negotiating, amending, and supporting the execution of contracts.
- Conducting due diligence on existing documents to ensure compliance with obligations.
- Preparing legal opinions based on in-depth research of foreign legislation.
- Supporting corporate procedures (registration, compliance, legal structuring).
- Ensuring compliance with local laws across multiple jurisdictions.
- Assisting the business development team in RFP preparation, conducting onboarding/due diligence.
- Ensuring Intellectual Property protection (trademarks, patents, copyrights, software licensing).
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline legal processes and mitigate risks.
- Providing strategic legal guidance to various departments to facilitate business growth.
- Handling ad-hoc legal inquiries across other areas (HR, operations etc.).
Requirements:
Must Have
- Fluent English.
- Ability to travel internationally for business trips without restrictions.
- Master’s degree or Post Graduate Studies in Law, International affairs, or similar.
- 5+ years of experience with similar responsibilities.
- Experience with EU & US jurisdictions.
- Knowledge of contract law & drafting standards (Services, Software Development, Licensing Agreements, etc.).
- Expertise in Intellectual Property (IP) (including License Agreements for new products, trademarks, and open-source licenses).
- Experience conducting legal research and writing legal opinions.
- Experience with RFP participation and due diligence for business development.
- Experience with Personal Data, GDPR, SaaS compliance, and security.
- Ability to handle complex negotiations on contract drafts.
- Strong research and problem-solving skills, structured thinking.

- Experience in IT companies (services & products).
- Experience in banking legal matters (KYCs, onboarding processes, financial compliance).
