The Role:
As the Deputy CFO , you will be a strategic partner to the CFO, providing the financial leadership to scale our B2B platform globally. You will move beyond traditional finance to master the complexities of a multi-asset, multi-chain treasury, and a SaaS-based revenue model. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the financial integrity of client transactions, optimizing capital efficiency, and building the financial frameworks that support our enterprise clients. This role is pivotal in enabling our partners' success while driving our own sustainable, predictable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Treasury & Payment Operations
- Oversee the end-to-end flow of funds, including client deposits, transaction settlements, and payouts across both fiat and digital asset rails.
- Manage corporate and client-segregated digital assets in a highly secure, multi-party computation (MPC) or institutional-grade custody environment.
- Supervise the daily, intensive reconciliation of all client-driven transaction volumes against on-chain records, payment processor reports, and our internal ledger.
- Collaborate with banking and payment partners to optimize fiat payment flows, manage liquidity for settlements, and minimize transaction costs.
Financial Planning & B2B Performance Analysis
- Lead financial reporting on key SaaS and platform metrics: Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR), Total Payment Volume (TPV), Assets Under Custody (AUC), net revenue retention, and client LTV/CAC.
- Develop sophisticated financial models to forecast revenue based on client pipeline, transaction volume projections, and new product adoption.
- Analyze the profitability of individual clients, product lines, and pricing tiers to inform commercial strategy and contract negotiations.
- Contribute to the annual budgeting process, strategic planning, and regular board/investor reporting.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Partner with the Chief Compliance Officer to ensure our platform and operations adhere to global regulations for money transmission, custody, and AML/CFT.
- Develop robust risk frameworks to manage counterparty risk with large enterprise clients, vendors, and liquidity providers.
- Implement and oversee transaction monitoring systems to detect and prevent fraudulent use of our payment infrastructure.
- Serve as a key point of contact for financial auditors and regulators, ensuring all financial processes are impeccably documented and compliant.
Commercial & Partner Finance
- Oversee the accurate calculation and timely settlement of fees and revenue shares with enterprise clients and channel partners.
- Provide financial expertise during the negotiation of large client and partnership agreements, helping to structure pricing and commercial terms.
- Act as the finance business partner to the Sales, Product, and Engineering teams, ensuring alignment between commercial goals and financial realities.
Systems and Scalability
- Ensure the integrity and scalability of our financial stack, from the general ledger to specialized crypto sub-ledger and billing systems.
- Drive initiatives to automate financial processes, including reconciliation, client billing, and partner payouts, to support exponential growth.
- Maintain organized, audit-ready financial records that transparently bridge GAAP/IFRS principles with the nuances of digital asset accounting.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role (Finance Director, Controller, Deputy CFO) within a B2B FinTech, Payments (eg, Stripe, Adyen), SaaS, or Digital Asset Infrastructure/Custody company.
- Deep expertise in financial models built around recurring revenue (MRR/ARR), transaction volume (TPV), and other platform-based metrics.
- Strong understanding of payment processing, treasury management for settlement flows, and complex, multi-party reconciliations.
- Direct experience with digital assets, including custody principles, on-chain mechanics, and the specific accounting/reporting challenges they present.
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial regulations related to money services businesses (MSBs), payments, and/or digital asset custody.
- Advanced proficiency in financial analysis and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and experience working with large data sets (SQL is a strong plus).
- Exceptional commercial acumen with experience supporting enterprise sales cycles and negotiating complex contracts.
- A "builder" mindset with a track record of scaling financial operations, implementing systems, and driving automation in a high-growth environment.
