Save Ukraine is one of the largest charitable foundations in Ukraine, founded in 2014. The foundation works to protect children and families affected by war. Our mission is focused on the most vulnerable Ukrainians such as orphans, children with disabilities, internally displaced persons, and survivors of violence.
Save Ukraine evacuates families from active combat zones and temporarily occupied territories. We are also the first humanitarian organization that regularly carries out rescue missions to return children forcibly deported to Russia.
We are now looking for a Head of Communications who will lead our global communications strategy and strengthen engagement with international audiences, donors, partners, and the media.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and regularly update a comprehensive international and Ukrainain communications
Oversee all external communication activities, including public relations, media engagement, brand communications, digital presence, and campaign management.
Supervise and mentor the communications team: content creators, designers, video producers and others.
Coordinate the planning, creation, and review of communication materials and creative assets.
Support fundraising and advocacy campaigns with strategic communications
Manage communication-related budgets, vendors, and contracts, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
Monitor analytics and performance of campaigns and optimize accordingly
Requirements:
Proven experience in communications; experience working with international audiences is a strong advantage.
Experience in team management and cross-functional coordination.
Excellent written and verbal communication in English
Experience working with international media and donors
Deep understanding of digital platforms, social media strategy, storytelling, and audience engagement
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Experience in humanitarian, NGO, or conflict-related contexts is a strong advantage
